Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern use of CheckOff Books services, including our website, client portal, bookkeeping services, and customer-support communications.
Services
CheckOff Books provides bookkeeping and related reporting services based on information and records supplied by the client. The scope, timing, pricing, and deliverables for a particular subscription or service are described during signup and in the client portal.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate records and information needed for the requested work. CheckOff Books may ask questions or request additional information when necessary to complete or clarify the work.
Customer-support messaging
CheckOff Books uses SMS for operational customer-support workflows involving authorized CheckOff Books support staff. When an existing client submits a support request through the secure client portal, authorized staff may receive an SMS notification and may respond through the support system. The client receives the support response in the secure portal.
SMS recipients are authorized support staff who voluntarily provide their mobile phone number to CheckOff Books and agree to receive these operational messages. Message frequency varies based on support activity. Message and data rates may apply.
These SMS messages are not marketing or promotional messages. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Authorized staff may opt out of SMS notifications by notifying CheckOff Books or using any opt-out mechanism made available in the messaging workflow. Opting out may affect participation in SMS-based support coverage.
Payments and subscriptions
Fees are charged according to the subscription or service selected at signup. Unless otherwise stated, recurring subscriptions continue until canceled. Any promotional pricing applies only as described at the time of purchase.
Financial reporting
CheckOff Books prepares financial reports using records and information supplied by the client. Unless otherwise stated, standard reporting is prepared on a cash basis. Balance Sheets may require additional client-provided information regarding assets, liabilities, equity, loans, fixed assets, inventory, and other balances.
No legal, tax, or investment advice
Unless separately agreed in writing, CheckOff Books bookkeeping services do not constitute legal, tax, investment, or financial-planning advice. Clients should consult the appropriate professional for advice outside the scope of the bookkeeping service.
Acceptable use and security
Users may not misuse the website, portal, messaging systems, or other services, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with system operation, or use the services for unlawful purposes.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date shown above reflects the current version.
